Project 2 - Laman Group Housing Scheme
This particular project required a sustainable housing development to be designed for the proposed location in the heart of Newcastle. The housing scheme was to accommodate between 8-20 individual dwellings comprised of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom structures.
The driving concept behind this particular design was my interpretation of the city of Newcastle as a diverse ecosystem consisting of all walks of nature, young, old, couples, families, students etc....
As a result of the brief requirements my proposed design evolved. My group housing scheme consisted of:
4 x 1 Bedroom dwellings
4 x 2 Bedroom dwellings
4 x 3 Bedroom dwellings
Each dwelling is individual, but as a whole they are interdependent on one another similar to the nature of an ecosystem.
